I wanna be like him at 83!!!

Amazing catching robot!! can't fail!
TOTO - tracking of thrown objects from Dennis Barteit on Vimeo.
This amazing ball catching robot named TOTO (Tracking of Thrown Objects) has been built to speed up "fully automated production systems...where parts will be transported between workstations by robotic throwing and catching".
I'd love to see multiples of this robot in action, throwing and catching product parts back and forth down an assembly line.

Sorry Jas...

Despite an impromptu appearance by Steve Tyler at one of Joe Perry's solo shows a few days ago and his announcement that he wasn't leaving the band, word from Joe is that the breakup is still on.
Joe told Rolling Stone magazine that the night of his gig in New York, he had no idea that Steve was at the venue, nor did he know that he was going to tell the crowd he wasn't leaving Aerosmith. This was news to him, as he explains that the plans for Steve to leave the band have become very definite:
"There was all this commotion during our encore break and somebody said, ‘Steven is here.’ I was like, 'What?'…So he came up and sang and that was the last I saw of him…He (Tyler) wants to take two years off from the band. The rest of the band wants to keep on working. We have so many different options to fill up that time. Anything is possible at this point."

Tales of Human Upgrades: Magnetic Fingertips
Instead, it acts as an extra sense that lets you know when electricity is around.
According to Huffman, the magnet works by moving very slightly, or with a noticeable oscillation, in response to EM fields. This stimulates the somatosensory receptors in the fingertip, the same nerves that are responsible for perceiving pressure, temperature and pain. Huffman and other recipients found they could locate electric stovetops and motors, and pick out live electrical cables. Appliance cords in the United States give off a 60-Hz field, a sensation with which Huffman has become intimately familiar. "It is a light, rapid buzz," he says.

Good news for Jason!
Steven Tyler put the rumors to rest about him leaving Aerosmith at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards asking "Does it look like I'm leaving Aerosmith?"
And after last night it definitely doesn't!
The rocker made a special appearance at Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry's gig in New York on Tuesday night, making the firm declaration that he was NOT leaving Aerosmith before performing the classic Walk This Way with Joe's band.

Sorry Jas....

Multiple reports are claiming that Steven Tyler has quit his position as lead singer of the legendary rock band, Aerosmith!
Old Man Tyler encountered a slew of injuries this year, including a broken shoulder in August after tumbling off the stage while performing, and guitarist Joe Perry says the two weren't in contact for a full month after the accident!
Perry has informed reporters that Tyler has "quit as far as I can tell."He continues: "I don't know any more than you do about it. I got off the plane two nights ago. I saw online that Steven said that he was going to leave the band. I don't know for how long, indefinitely or whatever. Other than that, I don't know."
Perry explained that Tyler has been avoiding the group's phone calls for months now, but Joe has "learned to live with it."
"Frankly, the last few months I've been wanting not to rock the boat. I don't want him cancelling any more gigs," tells Joe. "We just kind of didn't want to call him out or anything and get him anymore pissed off, for whatever reason. So we just let things lie."Perry says Aerosmith has all plans to continue without Tyler and are looking for a new singer, not to replace Steven, rather to "move the Aerosmith… vibe up a notch."
